Dr. M Mohan is a young Interventional Cardiologist in Coimbatore, recognised for his clinical and practical skills in his field of specialisation. He is currently attached to the Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, as Consultant & Interventional Cardiologist.

Dr. Mohan did his medical studies (undergraduate, postgraduate and superspeciality in Cardiology) at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (SMRC & RI) in Chennai. Earlier in his career, Dr. Mohan was Visiting Consultant (MD - Internal Medicine) at Vijaya Health Centre and Orthopaedic Hospital in Chennai in 2006-07. During this period he was also Chief Medical Consultant to Hyundai India Motor Ltd. at SRMC & RI. His next stint was in the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit at Fortis Malar Hospital as Senior Cardiology Resident from April 2009 until August 2010, after which he was posted as Senior Cardiology Registrar at Global Healthcare Hospital in Chennai. In addition to his post at Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, Dr. Mohan is currently also designated as Assistant Professor of Cardiology at SRMC & RI. He is also Visiting Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist at the Fortis Malar Hospital in Adayar. In addition to this, Dr. Mohan devotes some of his time towards teaching paramedical and undergraduate students. He had also been involved with teaching postgraduates in the past.

Dr. M Mohan has gained extensive experience over the years, in interventional invasive procedures such as angiograms (radial and femoral route), angioplasty, temporary and permanent pacemaker implantations, ICDs, intra aortic balloon pump, electrophysiological studies and ablation, device closures, balloon mitral valvotomy, as well as non-invasive diagnostic procedures such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiac scans, tilt table tests, etc.
